In 2016, Haiti was our first nation F.A.R.M.S. provided international support in the Northwest region near Bombardopolis. In partnership with a local group we purchased beaans, plaintatains, and rice from women farmers which were donated to a local school in the area.
In 2020 we expanded our efforts in the Caribbean and partnered with the Green Farm Foundation in Arima, Trinidad to build a cold storage facility for local rural farmers to increase access to refrigeration, expanding their retail markets. F.A.R.M.S., hired 5 to 7 local workers to build the structure. We also purchased and donated produce to local residents during the initial phases of the pandemic.
